World Premiere

A Japan-based Malaysian director Lim Kah Wai ‘s new movie “Come And Go” was premiered at the 33rd Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF). There are 14 principal actors who speak 7 different languages in the film. They all struggle and dream for a better future in Osaka.
The story is inspired by the personal experiences of Lim who has studied and worked in Japan for many years. According to him, Japan was mostly a mono-lingual and mono-cultural society, but there were dramatic social changes as a result of increased numbers of foreign workers from Asia over the last decade.
The film location was in Umeda, the business district of Osaka. This will be the final chapter of Lim’s Osaka trilogy, with 2011’s “New World” and 2013’s “Fly Me To Minami”.

多国籍でとても楽しそうな映画。バンクーバーにもぜひ来てほしいですね。
