Azuchi Castle

Azuchi Castle does not exist today.  Please note that the photo above is from the movie set.  The castle was burned down in 1582.

The real place looks like this:

When I was a child, I was told that there were only Vipers (snakes).  I was very happy when I could finally climb up there after many years.

Natural stones are piled up like this, very artistically.

The place is all natural, and never “artificial”.  You will feel its positive air when you walk up towards the top.

The mountain is quite small, so you can walk up easily.   Trees are gorgeous.

When you arrive in the middle, you will see the beautiful view of Biwako Lake.  I saw fishermen moving far away, and was quite tranquille.

Nobunaga gave Kanō Eitoku’s painting to Father Valignano.

I saw this picture near the Sumo compound (where Yasfe trained) near the Azuchi station.

The sun was about to set, when I came out from the Seminario.

I found a small shop after I was walking from the castle to the station .  A cute old woman and her daughter were there  (Meu Amor’s Chapter 1 to 11).   I also bought a special tray for 1000 yen ($9).  It is a true story.  I want to bring my book to the shop one day when I visit Japan next time.

安土町で見つけたお茶碗のお店、可愛いおばあさんと娘さん、そしてそこで1000円にしてもらった珍しいお盆は実際に体験したことです。いつかまた日本に行けたら本を持ってあのお店を探そうと思います。
