Kaya

One day I looked at the ancient map of Kaya.  It revealed that the Kaya population was not only in Korea.  From Anra (now Haman, Korea), the population map reached to today’s Japan’s Tsushima, Fukuoka, Hiroshima, Okayama, Tottori, Kobe, Osaka, Kyoto, and Shiga.  Nobunaga’s castle was in Shiga, Kaya’s last destination.

ある日、昔の伽耶の地図を見ていました。そこには伽耶人が分散していた場所も載っていました。韓国の安羅（今の咸安はまん）から現在の日本の対馬、福岡、広島、岡山、鳥取、神戸、大阪、京都、滋賀と線が続いていました。信長の安土城が滋賀県にあるので、伽耶の最終点となりました。

Prince Suro

He built the land of Kaya, and people say his wife came from Ayodha, India.  I also read they were from the Pandya dynasty at the tip of the Indian Peninsula.  Because the Tamil and Korean language have some similarities,  I chose one of the theories that King Suro came from there.

スロ王子は伽耶を築いた人で、お妃はアヨーディヤー出身のインド人といわれています。調べている途中でインド半島の端にあるパーンディヤ朝の名前が出たので、タミル語と韓国語がよく似ていると思ったのでそちらの説を選びました。彼は実際にいたといわれる伝説の人です。

Korean brothers

After the long research I had to create these two Korean samurais.  There are too many unknown men in the history, so I chose Ban Naomasa, who was one of Nobunaga’s vassals but was not very well known.  Yasuhiro did not exist, but I added  Harada Naoko as their sister.  In 2017 book, I used the surname “Han” but in this version I used “Kim”, the typical name of the time.

リサーチにそって韓国からサムライになる登場人物が必要でした。2017年版ではハンという名字にしていたのですが、やはり当時の韓国の王族や重臣らしくキムに変えました。実在した侍の直政、フィクションの安弘、さらに実在した原田直子を彼らの妹に加えました。
