Four monks gather at a temple to find their Master who is suffering from dementia. They are all different, but only one will reach a kind of enlightenment… This is a balanced, witty, and very beautiful movie.

We were surprised to see them: the director and the actors! They flew from Korea and were quite charming! (From right: Director Moon Jeong-yun, Actor Hong Hee-yong, and Actor Jung Jun-young, one actor was too shy to come on the stage;-)

We loved the movie and the audience gave them a long applause. The premiere was a big success!

Beautiful Red Carpet 2019

Young Canadian actors showed up first.  Former child actors are now getting bigger and more beautiful. Many of them live in Vancouver, too.

One of the guests who attracted media’s attention was Director Anthony Chen from Singapore.  He won the Caméra d’Or award at Cannes International Film Festival with his debut feature film “Ilo Ilo”. The actors who played the mother and the child in the film now work as a couple, a boy and an older woman in his new film “Wet Season”.

The last person on the red carpet was Director Atom Egoyan.  He came with the charming actress Arsinee Khanjian for the opening movie “Guest of Honor”. The director who was born in Egypt and now lives in Toronto, has won numerous awards at many international film festivals such as Berlin and Cannes. When the director’s car appeared, a big cheering was heard… like in the movie! 😉
