Mike Myers and Queen

Joined Bohemian Rhapsody or Is this just his Fantasy?

Mike Myers is so “obsessed”and much linked to Queen as we remember the opening scene of the movie “Wayne’sWorld” (‘92), the comedy he wrote and starred in.

At the time the producer (and maybe the director) was considering the other song, but Myers threatened to be out if they didn’t use “Bohemian Rhapsody”.  The song stayed and Myers contacted Brian May, Queen’s guitarist.  Brian then showed this video clip to Freddie Mercury (who was sick that time).  Freddie laughed and thought it was great! The clip must have been a dream for any rock singers to see their fans get into the car and shake themselves along the song they created. 

The song “Bohemian Rhapsody”then returned to the top (Number 2) of the US Billboard after 17 years. 

So, Myers deserves to be in the movie with the character who hates “Bohemian Rhapsody”…;-)
