One of the most popular sections in VIFF is the Gateway/Dragons & Tigers (D&T) film series. Some movie critics are busy trying to watch them all, and it is always difficult to pick the best one…

 THE RUNNING ACTRESS (South Korea) is directed by/stars famous Korean actress, MOON So-ri.  The movie has already won the Marcello Mastroianni Award in Venice this year. Please note that this first-time film made by an actress is quite different from the average low-budget student films. There’s a special story coming from her own experience and is quite funny…;-)

悩む女優のコメディードラマ

ヴェネツィア国際映画祭でマルチェロ・マストロヤンニ（新人賞）を受賞し、日本でも映画『自由が丘で』などでおなじみの女優ムン・ソリが初めて脚本・監督を手掛けた三部作の長編映画。華やかで、どこへ行っても男性ファンからサインを求められる女優（ソリ）。彼女の家は受賞トロフィーだらけで、人がうらやむぐらい成功している。だが最近は主役の仕事が少なくなり、「母親」役が回ってくるようになった。歳をとった女優はどうやって映画界で生きていけるのか…。
