32nd ASC Awards with Director Angelina Jolie

32nd ASC Awards – Cinematography’s biggest night

The American Society of Cinematography (ASC) presented Director Angelina Jolie with the 2018 ASC Board of Governors Award (to filmmakers who have been champions for directors of photography and the visual art form).

The award is for true artist who sets a high standard.  Jolie was praised to be a true artist with a strong vision who brought significant social issues in her fourth movie “First They Killed My Father.”

Previous recipients of the honor include Ridley Scott, Barbra Streisand, Harrison Ford, Julia Roberts, Christopher Nolan, Warren Beatty, Francis Ford Coppola, Sally Field, Morgan Freeman, Ron Howard, Sydney Pollack, Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg.

Her NETFLIX movie “First They Killed My Father” has already received Golden Globe and BAFTA nominations.
